Mr. Mehta joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1975
and is currently the Chief Secretary of the Government of the National Capital
Territory of Delhi. Mr. Mehta has been extensively involved in issues of urban
development and policy as the chief secretary at present and the commissioner of
the Municipal Corporation of Delhi in the past. During his tenure as the
Chairman and Managing Director of the Delhi Transport Corporation, the entire
infrastructure of DTC was transformed from diesel to CNG in compliance of orders
of the Supreme Court. This included building the entire infrastructure of gas
stations and pipe lines through IGL Ltd. |
